After graduating from Appalachian State University with a degree in Risk Management and Insurance along with a degree in Finance and Banking, I began my career in insurance at the North Carolina Joint Underwriting Association. I started as an intern underwriting assistant, which later became a full-time position. After my time at the JUA I went on to become a risk management specialist for the corporate office of Extended Stay America hotels. There I was able to learn more about a variety of different risk and claims that can occur within different industries. After taking a break from insurance to explore new industries, I found my way back into insurance as a licensed agent at an Agency in Raleigh, NC. I was able to rapidly expand my knowledge of customer service, the inner works of personal auto and home insurance policies, and much more. I also learned I could never stay away from insurance too long!

I am now grateful to be a part of the Encore Insurance Advisor team, and they have already shown themselves to be an amazing and supportive team of educated and kind women! Here, I look forward to providing genuine optimal care to our clients while building a more personal relationship and learning even more about various lines of insurance. Outside of work, I enjoy singing in my church’s choir and anything involving art, outdoors, and food! I look forward to knowing the Burlington area, and I may see you out and about!
